Well, we're proud to say that Hannah is an official crawler now. She loves to find anything that's around and crawl after it. I know in the coming days, she will certainly be keeping her mommy and daddy on their toes.
She is also getting a third tooth. Way to go Hannah!

Hannah's Daily News
Our sweet Hannah showed us some moves today....
-She began to flip pages in a book.
-She began to pull up in the bathtub.
And some other things that she's been up to lately...
-She is SO CLOSE to crawling...I'm sure that's just around the corner.
-She loves to eat mashed potatoes and spaghetti
-She baked her first bath of chocolate chip pecan cookies with mommy--that was daddy's treat!
Please pray for Hannah. She has a really bad rash on her thumb and I'm not sure what it is. The pediatrician said it's probably a ring worm, but it's gotten worse since Monday and I've used the Lamisil and it's not done anything. My fear is that is could be psoriatic related...as that runs in my family and could have skipped a gene. Any suggestions for ideas of how to treat it are welcome. Thanks!
p.s. The RSV is just about gone! whooh!

Hannah's First Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, hooray, hooray, hooray! Aren't you glad you're not a Turkey on this Thanksgiving day, hey!...that song reminds me of when I was a kid. We would sing that in elementary school. A very fond memory I have.
Despite the fact that just about everyone in the Grasham/Robertson family got sick, we had an enjoyable time. It was nice to see everyone even though we were stressed from all the chaos related to the fire. We played games and enjoyed good food together.
Tante Kira making Hannah laugh...it was so adorable to see.

Still loves the feet...specifically the toes.

I didn't realize that Hannah who is 7 months, is as tall and big as her cousin, Emily who is 1 year old. As you can see, they are very similar in size. They are so cute! (The one day everyone was well)

Hannah received this outfit from her Tante Kira. Thanks for thinking of Hannah!
New Things
Hannah is just blowing us away lately with all the new things she can do.
She can say, "Mama".
She is ready to crawl...rocking back and forth on those knees and hands.
She loves to eat. She eats everything, with the exception of a few things of course.
She celebrated her first Thanksgiving. She enjoyed sweet potato casserole, turkey, mashed potatoes, and peas.
She is 16.8 lbs...that's my girl, growing up!
She smiles ALL the time. She is so happy by nature and you can always catch a smile.
She is sick with her first sickness ever: a virus that I think she caught from her cousins when they were here at Thanksgiving. I'm glad they are well, now I am just waiting for Hannah to get well too. No fever, just lots of runny nose and congestion. In the midst of it all, she is happy and smiling.
We are so blessed with Hannah. She is such a joy and we love her more than we could ever imagine. Now I know what my mom meant when she said that I would not understand how much she loved me until I had a child of my own.

7 Months
Well, tomorrow our sweet baby Hannah will be 7 months old. I am amazed at how fast the time flies. I believe it now when people say that just when you are getting in the rhythm of a routine, everything changes. We've had so much change going on, that Hannah has changed a lot too.
She was the dream baby for 6 months. She slept about 8-12 hours per night, never waking up and took two three hour naps during the day. I felt great, never tired, mostly always energetic. Well...things have changed. For almost 3 weeks now and since her world has turned, her schedule has changed. I've been trying to keep her on schedule but it's so hard when we're not at "home" and she's not in her own crib and room. Just this week, she's been having trouble sleeping more-so than usual. When we put her down to sleep, she cries and wants out--becoming hysterical. It's been difficult since the fire happened, we moved in with Dan's parents, I've been sick and Dan's been gone. I just commend single parents for their work with raising their children. So much for all the prep work we did for the "crying it out". Hannah usually goes down around 8:00. She's then been waking up at 10 and 2 and 6. And lately...she's been falling asleep at 6:30 or 7 p.m. and then waking up at 11 or 12 and staying up for an hour to go back down and then she's up at 5 or 6 for the day. Needless to say, we're all exhausted and ready to be back in our "home" where we can resume our routine and be comfortable again.
Daniel and I stayed home from church today to catch up on some rest and start letting Hannah cry it out. She can't go to sleep so early because she wakes up. Our goal is to get her back on schedule of napping during the day and getting to bed around 8 p.m. For some people putting their kids to bed early works great, but we've obviously seen that it's not working for Hannah, at least not right now. She finally did fall asleep after 40 minutes of screaming--she has some lungs. I'd forgotten how hard that was to listen to. But, she's been sleeping for almost 3 hours now, so I guess it's worth it.
Hannah is nursing every 1-2 hours which is getting to be really tiring on my end. I feel like I just want to give up nursing. I know it's best for her but it's so often and demanding of my time and energy. I just wish that she would go 2-3 hours, that sure would help. Please pray for me that I would have good spirits as I continue to nurse her.
Hannah is eating solid foods now. We've not been on much of a routine since the fire. I plan to get going in full force once we are settled in. For now though, she's been eating her green beans, yams, apples and bananas. She likes her rice cereal now and has no problem with mixing food with it. She also is getting familiar with the organic puffs that dissolve in her mouth. It's quite comical to watch her her them...but it's so cute to watch her jaws move up and down in a chewing motion. All this food stuff is new territory for me. I don't know how much I can give her at one sitting? I know that I can't replace nursing feedings yet with food, or can I? So, we rae exploring new territory. Feel free to leave any comments on what has worked for you and your children.
Hannah can sit up now without help. She loves to chew on everything. Paper is her favorite, but then she bites it off and then we have to take it out of her mouth...so I limit the paper play :-) She is able to pick up things with one hand and bring it to her mouth.
Please pray for us and especially for Hannah she we transition through the holidays and traveling and moving into our new home all at the same time. I know that the Lord will help us get through everything together but it's just hard in the meantime.
Hannah is loved so much and I want to be able to be the best mom I can be for her. Unfortunately for me, lack of sleep is very difficult to deal with. The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful girl, Hannah and I know that He has great plans for her and for us as we parent her.
Oh, she's awake, guess I better go!

We didn't start the fire....
So one of my favorite artists in Billy Joel. Yeah, he's old school....before my schooling :-) but I really love to listen to his music. Anyway, has a song called, "We Didn't Start the Fire" and I thought it was fitting for this post.
Well, many of you know the adventure that we have been on this past week. I guess I'll begin with the story and then let you know where we are moving :-)
Last Thursday, 11/11/10 I was at home taking a nap while Hannah and Nolan were napping as well. At about 9:45-10, I hear a banging at the door. I was very frustrated at first because I didn't want the babies to wake up. At the door was the maintenance man asking if I was burning anything...I said, "no". I was confused since I had just woken up so it took me a few minutes to realize what was going on. it wasn't until I looked at the bathroom mirror and saw the smoke billowing in the reflection of the sunlight that I went into panic mode. I immediately went and got Nolan who was sleeping in our room. I went outside and put a blanket out on the grass...I asked the neighbor to help me get Hannah and then she brought Hannah outside. I was very scared that something might explode, I had no clue what was happening. By this time, the maintenance men figured out what was going on and where the smoke was coming from. They STILL had not called the fire department. I finally asked if I should call and to my surprise their response was, "you can if you want to". I was like seriously??? there is a fire and you haven't called. So then they had to drive back to the office to get a key to get into the ladies apartment and then realized there was no fire extinguisher and so drove back again and returned with one. All the while, we were outside waiting on the fire trucks to come. I called Daniel and he was not answering at work. I must have called like 10 times...he saw that on his phone later. He was in a meeting and didn't take his cell phone with him. I had to call his boss and he was able to reach Daniel for me. I called my mother in-law and she came to be with me and the babies. (Thank you so much for your help Toni, it meant so much to be to be able to call upon you!) So, Daniel finally came and we were all together. By this time, the fire department showed up and they were putting out the fire. I was still in my jammies and sweating, so I went inside and showered quickly and got dressed. A little while later we headed to my in-laws house to rest for a bit and to get the babies down for naps--which did not go well...we had insurance praise the Lord!
It's been a whirlwind of a week, and so much has happened since then. That first night, Thursday, we went and bought basic undergarments that we needed and a few other items. We immediately began looking for another place to live. The apartment let us out of our lease, obviously, but without penalty. We would have continued to rent at that complex but they only had upstairs apartments that were not close to the parking and were around the corner. So, we were not comfortable with having an apartment with far walking distance and where I couldn't see the front door from the parking lot...especially if I was taking groceries up, I'd have to leave Hannah up there all alone...NERVE RACKING!!!
Turns out that the lady had a small appliance, an electric boiler...one for tea that you can heat water in. Anyway, apparently it was plugged in and she claims it was off--said she hadn't used it in like 3 months. There was a spark in the circuit that caused the fire. It's all still under investigation, but this is the story we've been given.
So, our apartment had extensive smoke damage, so everything was taken to be ozoned, de-ionized. Hannah's toys and mattress are no longer playable or sleepable. It's sad to think that we have to get rid of all her toys and anything that she would put in her mouth.
We decided to rent a house again. We filled out the application on Sunday and by Tuesday, we signed the lease. We got the keys today and our furniture and belongings will arrive on Monday and our clothes later another week or so. We will evaluate the damage of our furniture once it arrives, and hope that is will be fine.
Daniel left on Wednesday for a business trip and I've been sick since he left with a sinus infection, so we've been here at Dan's parents house and I've been sick, dealing with all the rest of the rental house stuff, Hannah and cleaning out the apartment. Daniel will be back tonight and tomorrow we will clean out the rest of the apartment. While all this was taking place, we found out too that Hannah and I have been dropped from our health insurance due to paperwork issues with the middle man company between Schlumberger and Cigna. I am glad that our doctor that goes to out church was able to call in a prescription for me--I went to pay for my prescription only to find out that I was uninsured! Glad I found out with something so simple, rather than really needing coverage.
Anyway, the Lord has been so gracious to us. We are all safe. We have been so overwhelmed with love from many friends and family who have provided us with meals, free babysitting, clothing, and prayer. We are getting through it all and know that the Lord is in control of ALL things and his plan is perfect.
Without further ado, our new home is a two story house: 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, kitchen/breakfast area, living/dining room, den and game room. It's a really nice home and close to my in-laws still, which is nice. We also have some friends from church in the neighborhood, so that is a blessing. I've only posted two pictures, but more will come later once we're moved in.

Swingin 'n' Solids
Hannah is trying all kinds of new things. It's been nice staying at Dan's parents house. There are times when I am bored and don't even know what to do...soon I will have my share of things to do in the house I am sure.
Hannah is enjoying her solid foods more. I have gotten smart with her foods. She LOVE's Bananas, so I have mixed in yams and green beans on separate occasions and she is not protesting. Each time I've been adding more of the vegetable so that she learns to acquire the taste. She will eat about 3 cubes of green beans mixed with a small amount of banana and rice cereal and STILL want more. Yay for solid foods!
Hannah also had her first experience with swinging today. I had forgotten about the swing outside and today Jason mentioned wanting to take Hannah out for a swing. So, he was really sweet and cleaned the dirt and leaves off the swing and we went out to play!

Hannah's New Milestones
Well, Hannah is sure growing up fast and learning new things all the time. She will be 7 months next Monday and it's amazing how the time flies. She just started sitting up well by herself, sitting up in the tub and is almost crawling. She also LOVES bananas...I guess at some point, she will learn to love other foods too. She has two bottom teeth and loves to get anything and everything in her mouth. She always wants what you have...food, cell phone--her favorite, paper, pen, etc. She is fascinated by her Oma Toni and is so full of life. She can't stop smiling, and I love that about Hannah. She is always content and happy. Enjoy!

Playing with Uncle Jason. Every since we've been here, Jason has been really sweet to check up on Hannah, offer to hold her, pull the hair out of her face and play with her.
Hannah's first time crawling.
Hannah-First time Sitting up alone in the big girl tub :-) Since we didn't have Hannah's bath tub since the fire, and she needed a bath, we figured we'd try to just have her sit up. She did great and LOVED splashing around.

Happy Fall!
Our sweet friends Nathan and Heather took some fall family pictures for us. They turned out beautifully, thanks friends. Enjoy!

Hannah did NOT like grass...she cried every time we set her on it. So, we were lucky to get a picture with her on the grass and NOT crying. That's why for the other photographs, she is on her blanket :-)
Taking these pictures was so difficult. She was mesmerized and all she wanted to do was eat the pumpkins.
I must say, it was just adorable.
