Jensen at 2 Weeks

We ventured to the doctor for Hannah's 4 year checkup and his one week appointment. Everything was just perfect.
Dan and I were so involved with the kids during the first visit, it was easy to snap a pictures.
When we went back for his two weeks and I had both kids, I failed to take a picture.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was Mother's Day.
We had a relaxing day. Daniel and Hannah went to church, while Jensen and I stayed home.
When they came back, they had brought me a beautiful orchid and a card that Hannah had written in.
She picked it all out herself...flowers and card.
It was precious!
I am so thankful for my babies. For Hannah and for Jensen, that have given me the honor of being called their mother.
I love you two kids...and the one we've yet to meet!
Here was our best shot today :-)

Hannah's 4th Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

This year, we celebrated Hannah's party at the park.
It was really nice to bring a few things to set up and not have to worry about my house being chaotic when all was over.
It was nice to have the party and leave the party. I would definitely do the park again for the future.
The kids had a blast. My dad cooked hotdogs and we had chips and carrots as sides. Super easy.
I made the cupcakes and minnie mouse cookies.
We had water and veggie/fruit capri suns for the kids.
It was perfect.

Life as a Big Sister

As you will see in these pictures, our 4 year old had decided that this is the age for silly pictures.
Every time I capture a picture whether posed or not, she always asks for a silly pose as well.
So, there ya have it. Enjoy our silliness of a big sister :-)

Hannah's Hair Change

We did it!
We finally did it...yes we got Hannah's hair cut.
She's been asking for several months now to have her hair like "Brooklyn"...a friend of hers.
We battle morning after morning with knots in her long hair and she hates brushing.
After lots of threatening over time..."If you don't let me brush your hair, then we will have to cut it...etc." we decided to just DO IT!

Hannah's Mother's Day Class Party

Hannah's 3 day preschool class had a special morning for all the Mama's.
We had healthy snacks, the kids sang songs, read a story and gave each Mama a personalized gift.

11 Weeks

Yesterday, I hit 11 weeks pregnant.
I am really feeling it. Because I show fast, my belly pokes out fast, which means that the heaviness that comes with a belly is felt faster. I'm starting to have ligament pain in the lower belly and holding in those fluids during sneezes is ALREADY tough! I am experiencing some hemorrhoids...not fun. Did I mention I am only 11 weeks? Yes, my body knows all too well, what is going on.

Anyway, I had an ultrasound on Thursday and everything looks great. The baby was measuring 10 weeks and 3 days. It seems to change by 2 days either way every time I am there. For now, I am close enough on my target.

Jensen Leigh's Birth Story

Jensen Leigh Grasham was born on Monday, April 28th at 8:58 a.m.
He was 8 pounds and 5.4 ounces. He was 21 inches long. As a way to honor his Birth Mother, he was given her middle name. He is biracial, half African American and half Caucasian. You would never know this though, because Jensen is a spotting image of his birth mother who is Caucasian. He has her cheeks, nose, chin, and head shape. His Birth Father was over 6 ft. tall and that is evident in Jensen's long and thin feet with lanky toes. He is PERFECT! He also resembles Daniel's baby pictures and has cheeks just like Hannah and Sarina did. It's amazing how much he resembles our family. He sure fits right in and we are thankful and proud to call him our son!

How it All Began:

Life Home with Jensen

Life home with Jensen has been wonderful.
The transition is going well.
He eats 2.5-3 oz of breastmilk every 2.5-3 hours.
He sleeps 3-4 hours between feedings and his bodily functions sure work well!
He's our champ.

Here is Hannah holding Jensen for the first time when we got home.

10 Weeks

Today, I am 10 weeks pregnant.
I am still feeling great for the most part.
I tend to get very nauseated when I don't have something in my stomach, or an lacking sleep.
I have energy in the morning, but by early afternoon, I am pooped and ready for a nap.
I don't think I've gone one day since I've been pregnant without taking either a two or three hour nap.
It's been a must for me to function. Of course this means, Hannah watches a movie or I take a late nap after Dan gets home from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Somehow, I manage to get a nap in.

We are home and ask for continued prayers for our birth mother, and our family as we transition to life as a family of FOUR! Updates coming soon! So much has already happened with sweet Jensen.
