9 Month Update

Wow, 9 months have gone by so quickly. In 3 months Hannah will be 1 Year old. She is changing and growing so quickly. Here are some pictures of our sweet growing girl and some new stats.

-She has 6 teeth, 4 that are in full and 2 that are still coming in.
-She talks in baby talk now, mostly with her tongue. I think she figured out how to use her tongue to make talking sounds.
-Loves to eat and will want to eat if she sees you eating.
-Loves to drink out of a straw if we hold it to her mouth.
-Loves Eggo waffles
-Is cutting out her morning nap.
-Nurses 4 times during the day and once at night.
-She has a lot of new baby hairs coming in on her head, it's cute.

Hannah, we love you so much and are so excited for the milestones that you have made and that you will make in the future. The Lord has blessed us with the perfect baby for us. Mama and Papa love you so much, more than you'll ever know. Happy 3/4 Birthday!

A little bit of everything

We have had so much going on that blogging has been the last item on the to do list. Just a quick run down on what's been going on with us since I've not talked much about it all on the blog.

As you know, we had the fire in November...then Hannah and I were dropped from the health insurance, Dan fell down the stairs and broke his toe. December was filled with Hannah having RSV and we headed to California for a wonderful Christmas spent with my family. January...the New Year... Daniel was in a car accident just this past week which totaled my car. It was not his fault, but he has some back and neck issues from the accident that will take quite some time for recovery. I got a new to me-used car, 2007 Honda Pilot. Whew!! Yes, talk about, exhaustion and insurance claims...we are ready to not have anymore. So, please pray for peace that we would be healthy, safe and no more storms would come our way.

So, below are some pictures of what's been happening since my last big update...

Little Bison

It's scary to think of the day when Hannah will leave us and off to college we hope she'll go. I know we have a while before that time, but everyone says it goes by so quickly. Anyway, we received this cute shirt in the mail from Harding University, where Daniel and I attended school. I thought this was just so cute, I had to post.

A Beautiful Day!

Today is just gorgeous outside. Yes, it is winter but it's a lovely 71 degree day. We took a family walk to get the mail and then Hannah enjoyed some time outside playing while Daddy did an oil change on Mommy's car.

Replacement Furniture

We are happy that we had renters insurance. If you are reading this, and YOU don't, I would highly recommend that you pay the small fees of the insurance every month in case you get into a predicament like ours, it's so worth it!

After a month of no furniture except our futon, replacement mattress (we purchased that early in December) and our kitchen table, we were getting antsy to fill our empty rooms with couches and drawers for our clothes. Anyway, we found furniture with the money from the insurance, Basically how it works is that they will give you money for the replacement cost of the item...but if you don't use all of it, then you lose it. So, we decided to splurge with the money and get the most for the money...here we go.

Trip to Ikea...Hannah loved it!

We ate dinner for $7.50 for the 3 of us in the food court. It was $2.49 Meatball Tuesday, yummy! She ate Peas in the Pod, Penne Pasta with Tomato Sauce and Very Berry Banana Baby Food.

Our New Bedroom Set, Birkeland Collection from Ikea.

This is Ikea's newer Bed set collection, and we love it! We had been looking for dark cherry or brown, but when we saw this bed set, that all changed!

Queen Bed...yes, after the fire, we downsized so that we could use the money more wisely--more for the money and get what we wanted with it. So...goodbye CA King...we enjoyed you while we owned you. Now, on to better things!
Night Stand
Dresser

Our New Couch and Table Sets, from Ashley Furniture Home Store

We wanted to get a rug for this room too...but we couldn't justify spending money on that right now. But, for fun...which rug do you like better?

We were given an allotment of money from the insurance for the couch sets only--and used the rest of that allocated money that was designated for the couches for the end tables as well. We sold some other things we had like our old end tables and coffee table, washer/dryer and CA King Bedroom Set, and with that money we are replacing our bedroom set, end tables and we decided to get a rug that we liked. This feels like a shopping spree, but it's nice to know it's not breaking our bank. We've never purchased any large home furnishings like this new, so this has been fun for us. well...once we decided what we both could agree on...it was good.
