Kathryn Anne's 2 Year Stats

Kathryn Anne Grasham is 2 years old.

Height: 34 inches and 50th percentile
Weight: 27 pounds and 4 ounces and 50th percentile
Head Circumference:48.5 cm and 75th percentile

Hannah at 2 Years and Kathryn at 2 Year:
You can tell them apart with the curly hair Kathryn has :-)
{Both have a TON of hair}

Kathryn did well at her well-check. Her brother, however; fell off the table and onto his head. Never a dull moment with the two little ones. Kathryn checked out well for height, weight and head, she is growing and eating well.

She was released from the neurologist a few weeks back, he said that she seems to be meeting milestones and her lab work is improving. He hopes that she continues to develop on target and hopes to never see us again! That was peace spread all over us. We were so thankful to have the "all clear", after many months of concern and the difficult first year that she had.

She wears 2T clothes, size 5 diapers and drinks a TON of water, daily.
She has started taking off her diaper often and saying pee-pee, I know she is ready but my life has been so crazy with the two little ones, I can't even fathom how to devote the time needed to get it done! I did look back and saw that Hannah was 2 years and 3 months when she was potty trained. She is taking after her sister and getting it on early. I'm all game. Maybe after the holidays.

Kathryn is definitely our second strong willed child. She throws lots of tantrums and has a high pain tolerance when she hits her head on the wall from moving all over. She cant stand to be confined to a shopping cart, I rarely go to the grocery store with my kids because it's super stressful and exhausting. But, this too, shall pass. We are in the thick of toddler-hood and all that entails.

She is strong and fierce at times with her brother, who is practically the same size. They might as well be twins! She likes to play rough and jump around. She has so much fun and is full of life, laughter and joy. She enjoys playing with her Beenie Boos-dog and kitty. Her giant dog she got for her birthday, she sleeps with every night. He is practically the same length as she is. She loves to pick out and put on her own shoes, carry her own back pack, carry purses around and turn anything into a phone--eraser, calculator, play phone, etc. She enjoys the cows next door and talks to the cows in excitement every single day. She loves to swing and play on the swing upstairs as well as the outside play structure we have. She also plays on the trampoline and is so proud of herself for being able to do somersaults now.

She is super to easy to tuck into nap time or bed time. As long as she has her "Special" pink blanket, and a water, she is good to go. She won't let that water go, she is a creature of habit. Not sure how to break that when we start to potty train. She goes to bed about 6:45-7pm every night and wakes around 7:30. She takes either a morning or afternoon nap usually about 4 hours. She sure loves her sleep, just like Hannah did.

Kathryn's brings such joy to our family. She enjoys singing in the car and mimicking Jensen and Hannah. She is working on learning her numbers, animals and animal sounds. She loves cows by far and calls out them daily from he top of the playset in the back yard. {if you don't know, we live next door to cows}

With Cousins Mia and Ally after church.

She loves to run faster than her feet can take her which inevitable means lots of scrapes and bruises. She has a pain tolerance though and just keeps going. She loves the thrill of heights, not my kind of thing so much. She enjoys riding the toys outside and doing whatever brother and sister are doing. She is crazy about bubbles too.

She had her first REALLY bad accident. She hit the stairs at a friend's house. She was fine, it just looked really bad for a few hours. I'm thankful she didn't have a concussion.

Kathryn is saying around 60 words now and continues to make progress in speech development. She has speech therapy twice per month and we LOVE our therapist. We're working on sahib at least 10 words of the same, consistently each day and also starting to do 2-3 syllable words.

Kathryn is still pretty picky, she won't eat most vegetables and doesn't even like some things that you'd think are kid friendly. Here is what she likes:
Chicken tacos from Costco, hot dogs, chips and salsa, cucumbers, carrots, LOVES EGGS--she eats about four every morning, sausage, pineapple, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and fish. She will occasionally eat grilled chicken but only if it's from chick fila.
She really prefers to eat breakfast--a ton of food and then not so much at lunch and dinner.
We have found that she is predominately "left" handed, which I think is pretty cool since my brother is left handed, and usually that is associated with an "artsy" talent. I can't wait to see where her hobbies will lie in the arts--if that is her true dominant hand.

Kathryn takes swimming lessons once per week for 30 minutes with Jensen and she loves it.

Kathryn is all about taking selfies. She takes my phone and says, "Cheeeeese". Most of the time I have to help her because she puts all her finger on the phone which doesn't allow the picture to be taken. Here is a glimpse of her sweet selfies!
 And another one that I took and wanted to add. I just LOVE her auburn hair and curls!

Kathryn,
 we love you so very much and are so thankful and blessed by your life. You are so full of joy and fun and we just thank the Lord for blessing us with  your sweetness. We pray that you would continue to grow in wisdom and stature and find favor with God and man. We love you dearly and can't wait to see what the Lord will do in your life, how and where He will call and equip you.
Love, Mama

Halloween 2016

This year Halloween snuck up on us.
We didn't have a pumpkin until the day of and then Hannah was adamit about us carving a pumpkin. So, she and I did. I think it came out great!
 Jensen and Kathryn have been sick and so we've all been in survival mode.
Kathryn was so miserable, she was in bed by 6:45pm and so I just took Hannah and Jensen. Hannah was super excited to collect candy that she could then pass out when she got back to the house. Jensen just wanted to eat candy. It was fun, and we only went on a couple streets before heading back home.
