Jensen Lost his First Tooth!

A week ago, I noticed Jensen's bottom two teeth looked crooked. Sure enough, they were both loose.
In the evening after the second day of school, he was eating an apple and was complaining of pain. I wiggled his tooth and sure enough, it was ready to come out, it was even already bleeding.
He was a b it traumatized and scared at first, so after I tried without success, Papa managed to get him all pepped up and pull it out!

2019-2020 Elementary School- First Day for Hannah and Jensen

It’s hard to believe that Jensen is already kindergarten age. Today Jensen became a kindergartner and Hannah became a fourth grader.

Dan and I started off the morning by waking up at 5:55 and waiting until the kids alarm clock went off. We gifted Jensen and Hannah new alarm clocks for this school year. Hannah’s went off and this is the first year that she has woken up all by her self with the alarm clock. She realize that once she took the noise machine out of her room she could wake up to an alarm clock. Jensen’s alarm clock did not go off so Daniel had to reset it and once it went off Jensen came down. ‘Twas the night before Kindergarten for Jensen

It’s amazing to think that Jensen starts kindergarten tomorrow. He is super excited about his teacher and was really excited to put confetti under his pillow tonight so that he could sleep well and be refreshed and ready for tomorrow.
On Friday we went to meet the teacher and Jensen was very shy and bashful with his teacher but have no problem playing with the other kids.

38 Weeks with Baby # 4 William Wesley

It’s a bit surreal to think that we are already at 38 weeks, I know I’ve been saying that for a while but this pregnancy seemed like it was an eternity at the beginning and these last couple weeks I’ve also felt that way. In hindsight, it’s gone way too fast. Here in Texas were having temperatures of 108 to 112 and this mama is just ready to have this heater removed to the outside of my body!

Hannah’s First Big Milestone

Hannah has been asking for years to get her ears pierced. We’ve told her that in order to do so, she had to show us that she could be responsible enough to care for herself. The motivation factor for her was to stop sucking her thumb. Well, she turned 9 in April and really wanted it for her birthday. Her birthday came and went and she still sometimes struggled with thumb sucking. She finally stopped. Time went on and school ended. Summer came, she was gone a lot. Finally a couple weeks ago, we went to get her ears pierced.

36 weeks with baby #4 - William

36 Weeks

It’s hard to believe that we have already hit 36 weeks.
Since last week many changes have happened. Let’s just say that I don’t know what a good nights sleep is, I get up every hour and a half to two hours to go potty, and I wake up feeling tired and weak.
It certainly does not help that this past week we have had several days in a row with 100° temperatures on the gauge. It is so incredibly hot and humid and muggy, that it is just miserable outside. This is the third haircut I’ve had during my pregnancy and I just could not handle the length  anymore around my neck. Hopefully by the time winter comes it will be back to my shoulders. I think it’s good every once in a while to cut my hair really short because it makes it very healthy.
Just yesterday I started having true contractions that I actually had to breathe through. I could not talk. They were three, over the course of the whole day and nothing to be real consistent or concerned about. Today I’ve had two of those contractions and I feel like I’m at the point where all I want to do is eat sleep and go potty.
I had a doctors appointment today and I am measuring right along well, though my due date changed when I switched from Dr. Galvan which was September 7th, to Dr. Perez which became September 10th. On my last ultrasound, it showed that I was measuring two days ahead, which would be consistent with the September 7 due date. Today my nurse practitioner went ahead and considered me 36 weeks and did all the third trimester screening. She just wants to make sure that if my water were to break in the next couple weeks that we know all of the results from these labs.
William is moving constantly, sometimes it feels like the whole night or the whole time I’m napping, and there have been a few times where it has hurt and I’ve actually totally yelled, I think it was an elbow.
Today his heart rate was 152 bpm and he appears to be going well.
To date, I have gained a total of 40 pounds and I continue to have swelling in my hands and my feet and my legs. My blood pressure was 117/80, which is still good, so there’s no concerns. I also had to have a conversation with my doctor today about a tubal ligation versus birth control, an IUD, once I am postpartum.  I’ve been very torn about this decision, and have had to pray about it a lot. I don’t like either option, but I know that one is necessary.
Overall, I feel very ready to meet William and I’m thankful that he continues to move around a lot and that I can feel him. I will miss Jensen being so infatuated with my belly, he kisses it all the time and talks about how much he loves Williams and is so excited to have a baby brother, another boy like him. Dan has finished traveling, and will be home for good until William is born, that is very relaxing for me. Now we just wait and see if William will debut early or if he will come at the C-section on September 4.
We of course appreciate any and all prayers as we anticipate his arrival and the transition that he will bring to our family of six!!

35 Weeks with Baby # 4 - William

35 weeks

This photo courtesy of Jensen

This week has been a blur. I’m definitely feeling William dropping lower, and sleeping is much more difficult. I’m tired most days and I’m pretty much finished nesting. Everything is ready the carpets were cleaned this week thank you to my dad, and the floor was mopped. For now I just make sure that we have quiet time during the day for at least two hours so that Mama can get some rest and each of the kids can have some alone time.

I am thankful for some freezer meals that I made back in May. As you can see below Hannah pulled one of them out of the freezer and made the whole meal herself while I took a shower and put my feet up. She cooked sweet-and-sour chicken and made rice and a beautiful salad for our dinner.
