Daddy Time

I've really been enjoying the time that Daniel has been spending with Hannah. It's such a blessing to see them interact with one another. Here is some of their time together...

Our Sweet Hannah Grace is 1 Month Old

I can't believe our sweet Hannah Grace is already 1 month. This time is flying and she is getting bigger...heavier too.

We went to the doctor yesterday and Hannah just blew me away with her stats. She actually at 1 month has passed up all three of her cousin's stats even at their 2 months, wow!

Length: 22 1/2 inches and 90th percentile
Weight: 9 lbs. 4 oz. and 50th percentile
Head: 15 cm. and 60th percentile

Hannah's collar bone seems to have healed...the bump is smaller, so we will continue to monitor it at her 2 month check up. Her heart murmur is still there very faint, so we'll be watching that too. Other than those two things, Hannah is doing very well. The doctor is impressed with her weight gain and said that I can let her sleep and just feed her when she wakes up. This means that I don't have to feed her as often at night...that's nice. I hope she will start to sleep longer at night now.

Hannah Grace is changing so much and so are we :-) Here are some new things...

-She loves her pacifier and knows how to pull it out too, though she doesn't realize yet that she is pulling it out herself--which of course frustrates her.
-She is still in newborn diapers and clothing.
-She loves her baths.
-She loves when Daddy dries her hair and body off with the hair dryer after her bath.
-She calms down when Mommy sings "Jesus Loves Me" and "Jesus Loves the Little Children" or hums.
-She is very alert and loves to see the action. She loves to look around and doesn't like to be laying in one place unless she can see.
-She loves our nightly walks outside...LOVES being outdoors :-)
-She can hold her head up pretty well now.
-She enjoys tummy time on her polka dot blanket.
-She sleeps about 4-5 hours per night.
-She took her first pumped milk bottle VERY well.
-Daddy can calm her down instantly by placing her on his chest with her head looking over his shoulder...somehow I can't do it right, she cries :-( Daddy says it's the "height" :-)
-She smiles, though I have not seen it, according to Daddy and Tante Raya :-)
-Her eyes have turned blue.
-Her eye lashes are turning darker.
-She loves to be swaddled.
-She had her first photo shoot which you've seen already:-)

We are so blessed to have this little blessing from the Lord. Hannah Grace has captured our hearts and we just can't imagine life without her.

Hannah and Mommy Comparison

Well, everyone says that Hannah looks like Daniel...and she has his body, limbs, mouth and forehead. After seeing the pictures below, I think you'll see why we all are saying that she is definitely a "Bodi" too, and more closely resembles me. She has my chubby cheeks, head of hair, eyes, chin, nose, and ears. I must say, she is a perfect combination of Dan and I. See for yourself...what do you think?

A visit from the Bodi Grandparents

This past week, my parents were here visiting. It was so much fun and we had a great time together. My parents are crazy about Hannah and had a very difficult time leaving yesterday. We love you guys so much and are praying for you as you are so far away from us.

Both of my parents love to help out and they really overdid themselves while here with us. My mom was amazing and cleaned our whole house, did countless loads of laundry and trimmed all the bushes outside...BIG job and she was sore, poor mom!

Dad washed, cleaned, waxed and detailed my entire car...I feel like I have a NEW car again...thanks Dad.

They both worked together to cook some amazing meals for us and our friends...that was so much fun!

And last but not least, they both spent countless hours holding and rocking Hannah...changing diapers and sweetly falling asleep with Hannah.

Mom and Dad we love you guys and thank you so much for coming. We are excited to see you again in a few months!

Here are some pictures from our time together:

First real bath with Grandpa and Mommy...that was fun :-)

We went to Brenham, Texas for a couple days so that Dan and my Dad could take the boat out and go fishing at Lake Somerville. It was a crazy trip for them with the high winds...what a storm, they had a blast and I was glad they came back to us safe! Mom and I hung out in the hotel with Hannah and laughed a lot together. While there, we went to the Blue Bell Factory and an awesome Italian Restaurant that we had an awesome coupon for. We had a great time, it was definitely a highlight of the week.

Special meal my parents prepared for Dan and I that included bacon wrapped filet mignon, shrimp skewers, green beans and Alfredo pasta...and they even waited on us for drink refills and more food...very sweet and it was very nice, thanks Mom and Dad!

Proud Grandparents rocking Hannah their last night with us...we were sad to say goodbye!
