20 Stars

Saturday, I treated Hannah to the trampoline park for getting 20 starts on her reward chart. She set a goal of 20 stars and then her reward she chose was the trampoline park. Oma (Toni) and Opa (Bill) had given Hannah money for the trampoline park for Christmas, so she was able to use it!
We invited her friend from school, Shelby and her mom and sister came along as well. We all enjoyed lunch afterwards. It was a nice girls day out and Hannah had so much fun :-)

The Little Things

I know it's been awhile since I posted about Jensen, this boy is growing up SO fast and I am loving every minute of it! I wanted to share these pictures because he just seems to be growing up so fast!
Daniel and Hannah were playing Memory and he got up on the chair and sat down and said, "play?". He picked up a memory card and was so excited about it. I think he felt special that his sister and Papa let him join in, even if it was to just sit there and watch, holding one card. Jensen is pretty content with the little things in life. He just wants to be apart of things and feel accepted :-)

Dan's Forever Car

Daniel had been contemplating going back to his old Mercedes Benz cars for awhile.
He found a really nice one and got an awesome deal on it. His car is yet to be names, but it did arrive on Saturday. The dealer in Austin even delivered it to our drive way, awesome--they REALLY wanted it off their lot. It is cheaper than his current 2001 Hyundai, cheaper insurance, cheaper parts, all manual windows, locks, transmission, etc. and he can "tinker" with it as he has always found such joy and satisfaction in. I am excited for him that he has this "old" car once again to tinker with and just have fun! He's already been working on it. He plans to sell his other car and keep this one forever! "Hello Mercedes Benz 1981 240D, you are the 6th "old" car we've owned!"

Busted!

The other day, I was on the computer and Dan was home.
I guess I figured he was keeping an eye on these too...and he assumed I was watching them.
Here is what happened...
I turned around to chewing noises and to see that Jensen and Kathryn had gotten into Daniel's night stand and found a chocolate bar he had. Jensen was eating the bar with foil and all :/ Kathryn managed to get the chocolate out of the wrapper and was chowing down on raspberry chocolate. These two are always into something together!

Good Bye Illness

I am proud that I can finally say that our family has been healed...for now!
{This post is truly for my personal documentation of our family moments, so if you don't care for some in your face details, just skip it :-)}

Jensen's Big Boy Bed

January 31st was Jensen's first night in his big boy bed.
He is a super easy going kids when it comes to bed time and he is by far, our most compliant child.
Each night when it is bed time, we say, "OK, it's time to go up stairs and brush teeth and go to bed", he immediately would go up stairs and do exactly what was asked. We could say, "Jensen, it's time for a nap", and he would walk up stairs and lay down. No battle at all. Since he always stayed in his crib and was compliant at bed time, we decided why not try it out with a "big boy bed"! So, this was his first night. He slept great, but sadly woke up throwing up. As you may recall, our family has been under the weather for almost 3 months. It was just his turn.
After that, he continued to stay in his big bed and no problems. He stays in his bed and doesn't ever try to come out of his room. This was a pleasant surprise after all the difficulty we experienced with Hannah in that transition.
