Quality Time

I love that Daniel values his time with Hannah. She is so crazy about him.
Here are a few ways I've noticed she is crazy about her Papa.
When she is hurt, physically, she runs to Daddy.
When he walks in the door from work, she runs to meet him.
She loves his kisses and being swung around. I guess she did not follow after me with motion sickness.
I love when I am cooking in the kitchen, after Daniel comes  home, and I can hear laughter and phone conversations between Daniel and Hannah, or their tea time. He is so good to spend quality time with her and she feels so loved by him.

I just LOVE these two!

California Visit

We headed out West for Thanksgiving. The weather was crisp and cool, and it was so nice to wear winter clothes. It was a nice break from our 80+ temps. Of course we came back to 60's and below, which was great!
We stayed with my parents and the rest of my mom's family came up for the holiday. It was an interesting visit to say the least, but I am so grateful that I was able to see my parents and brother, along with the rest of my family. I miss them so much and feel blessed that I get to see them a couple times each year. I realized that we didn't take many pictures, mostly just of Hannah. We all were too busy I guess.
Here is a recap from our visit.

pre-haircut                                                            post-haircut

We took lots of walks to the park while we were there. Hannah LOVED it!

Hannah enjoyed taking her cup in and out of the holder.

She pulled the wagon a looooooong time. She is very interdependent and want's to do everything herself.
Who does THAT sound like?
Fall leaves...we don't see those here in Texas, so it was so nice to see them while we were there.

Hannah had a blast!
Fun in the leaves...I saved the BEST picture for our Christmas card.

She enjoyed her playtime with Grandpa. She loves the BIG potato head that they have.

 My cutie patutie!

Thanks for having us for the week Mom and Dad, we can't wait till you come here in April!

Wonderful Wednesday

Hannah and I had a great day today.
We played together for a while, read books, and then Hannah went down for a 4 hour nap. During that time, i was able to clean the entire house! YES! I LOVE days like these.
I've been thinking a lot about how I spend my time during the day. I was inspired by a friend of mine who was talking during our discussion in our ladies class. She said something that hit home with me. She said that we need to think of our children as blessings, having the attitude that they are blessing me. Yes, you've probably heard this before but, do you get it? Sometimes we as moms, are so busy getting everything done and doing, doing, doing, that we don't realize that our children are just waiting to bless us. I made a deliberate choice today to not focus on what needs to be done (before nap time of course) and to just do whatever Hannah wanted. So, we played in her kitchen, talked on the play phone, drew on the magnadoodle, got out the purses, sun glasses and necklaces and read several books, etc. We had a blast. I am so blessed to be her mom and I don't ever want to take that for granted. I enjoyed our time together today.
Oh, how I LOVE my sweet girl!!!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot like Christmas...

...everywhere you turn!
And, I love it!
Here's our start to the season, yay!
This is my FAVORITE time of year.
We have lights on the outside of our house...that will have to be another post.
It's too late and too cold to be outside ;-)
 What do you think?
Ball in vase?
Beaded necklace with pine cones?
I'm definitely playing around with ideas...
 It's a start...haha! One more stocking to hang...one more holder needed...etc.
The tree with lights, ready for ornaments...coming Saturday!
Yay, can't wait. It will be beautiful!
Hope your holiday decorating is beginning to make your home a little more cozy!
Happy Season's Greetings!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving with our family in California.
(More to come later, on that trip)
We had a lot of great food, my family know how to cook, that is for sure!

Grandma made 7 pies and we had Ham and Turkey, along with Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Green bean Casserole, Grandma's Home made rolls, Mom's stuffing, and more...it was definitely a food coma, at it's best! Hannah enjoyed drinking out of a big girl cup ;-)

We enjoyed our meal very much and the surrounding family.
Hope YOU had a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving!
