Yesterday I was 15 weeks with this sweet little one.
I am physically feeling well, no real complaints.
I am mentally and emotionally tired. It's hard having a newborn, bring pregnant, giving attention to a 4 year old and still having energy to love and honor my husband. This is probably one of the most blessed, but difficult chapters of my life. It's a wonderful chapter and God sure knows what He is doing. That doesn't make it any easier. I just trust that God has got this and I cry when I need to and move on. My husband is so encouraging and believes that I am doing an amazing job. This helps me to get out of my pit when I feel inadequate. Thankfully, I've only had one time where I just cried. I think I am also more emotional because of all these crazy hormones...they certainly don't help. I have moments where I feel inadequate as a mother, wife and what bothers me most is the home maker part. I am used to having my house a certain way, and I've had to really let that go in order to rest and do what is most important...care for my family. I am loving every bit of this journey, but I can't say I'm not without discouragement sometimes. God has planned this explosion of babies and blessings and I am so honored and blessed that he is answering our prayer for more children.
OK, back to this pregnancy. Heart rate is around 157 BPM and strong.
Just yesterday, Big Sister Hannah wanted to hear the baby's heartbeat, so I took out the Doppler and showed her. She was in amazement and loved hearing it.
Today, this is what Daniel captured Hannah doing while I was napping after lunch...
My sweet girl...this just melted my heart. When she was younger she used to say that she had a baby in her belly...so now I am wondering if she is thinking there could be one in there.
She is very excited about her baby brother or sister...although she says "Kathrin Baby Sister" all the time still. Who knows that my be our name :-)
I love this time of pregnancy, having a newborn, and a 4 year old to share all the fun baby things with. She loves to be a part of our journey and I just love that she recognizes blessings from God. She prays and thanks God for the blessing of Jensen and the baby in my belly. Precious years!
Okay Sweet Baby!
I am loving you more and more. This is going to be hard for me not to know if you are a boy or girl, but I think it will be the biggest surprise for us. We are so excited either way and we know that God is making you perfectly in His image. He is giving us perfect you, designed for our family for us to love, care for and show Jesus to. I feel you kick every so often, I am excited for when it will happen daily.
Keep growing and developing as our Father is knitting you together. We are almost 4 months, woohoo!
Love, Mama
